Hand Exercises For Strength And To Ease Hand Arthritis Pain

Human beings generally work for eight hours but when it comes to extra hours of work or at times you may feel it the extra burden of work which may cause pain on hands or fingers. Hand Arthritis paves way for the joint pains in between the bones. It can cause irritation and inflammation and the pain gets worse when you use your hands for a lot of works and tasks. For instance, typing on your laptop or computer keyboard or washing utensils can cause pain later. When your hands become weak, it will make it hard for you to do the simple works or chores of your everyday life. Now, let’s get to know the simple hand exercises for strength as well as to treat hand arthritis pain.

Make a Fist: This is the easiest exercise and you can do it anywhere at any time. All you need to do is to hold your left hand out with all of your fingers straight. Then, slowly bend your hand into a fist by placing your thumb on the outside of your hand. Do not squeeze your hand but to be gentle. And now, open your hand back up until your fingers are straight once again. Do this for 10 times and repeat it for the right hand too.

Thumb Bend: Now, by holding your left hand out with all your four fingers straight, bend your thumb inward towards your palm. And then, stretch your thumb as far as possible. Just hold the position for a second or two and again return back to your starting position. Repeat this for your right hand as well.

Finger lift: Just place your left-hand flat on a table and palm facing down. Now, start with your thumb and lift it off from the table only one at a time. And then, hold each finger for a few seconds and then lower it. Repeat the same for each finger of the right hand.

Wrist Stretch: You should never forget about your wrists because it can also be affected due to arthritis or over workload. All you need to do is to hold your right arm out with the palm facing down and now with your left hand gently press down the right hand until you feel the stretch. You should also hold it for few seconds and repeat it on the other hand.

Make a curve or an ‘O’: Just start with your left hand and fingers straight. Now, curve all your fingers inward until they all touch. It should in the shape of an ‘O’. And just hold this position for a few seconds and then straighten your fingers again. Repeat this exercise on the other hand and you can do this when you feel pain too.
