Lip Balm: 5 DIY Natural Recipes Only A Handful of People Know
Lip balms would be highly helpful in the months of winter as it would help avert the lips from being dry and chapped. People who struggle with dry or chapped lips would often lick their lips to wet them, didn’t you? This would not be comfortable when you are in public as people would watch you and this is why you have to carry a lip balm with you. You could have known about several types of lip balm in the market and if you could not believe the ingredients in the lip balms which you brought from the market, then try to prepare it by yourself at home naturally. CHOCOLATE MINT LIP BALM: Being in its dessert form, this lip balm is prepared by melting the two teaspoons of white beeswax pellets in a boiler on a stove or microwave. Now, add one teaspoon of cocoa powder and stir it well. And while stirring it, add two teaspoons of almond oil and few drops of peppermint oil. Now, leave the mixture to cool down and when it is cooled, just transfer it to a lip balm container and refrigerate it. Then use it frequently for hydrating your lips.
BEETROOT ESSENTIAL OIL LIP BALM: Beetroot lip balm is one of the best natural things which is prepared by melting the beeswax in a double boiler. Then, you have to add ¼ cup of cocoa butter or mango butter and mix it well. Later add a few drops of your favorite essential oil such as peppermint or grapefruit oil. Now, add the beetroot powder and stir the mixture well until you find no lumps in it. Allow the mixture to cool down and pour it into the container and place it in the refrigerator.
LIME LIP BALM: Lime lip balm is always refreshing and would provide you shining lips. Prepare it by melting one teaspoon of beeswax and add one tablespoon of coconut oil, one teaspoon of almond oil, and cocoa butter, and heat in a medium flame in a double boiler. Now, stir the combination well and take it out of the heat. And, 9 to 10 drops of lime essential oil and stir the mixture till cools. Later, pour it into a lip balm tin or any other container and then place it in the fridge.
GREEN TEA LIP BALM: To get a perfect soothing lip balm, you have to heat one tablespoon of coconut oil and the two green tea bags in a double boiler in low heat. Allow the green tea mixture to steep for an hour to bring out the green tea flavor. Now, remove the tea bags and add one teaspoon of olive oil and beeswax. Later, heat them till the beeswax melts and turn off the heat and allow the lip balm mixture to cool. You could now add one to two drops of your favorite essential oil. Also, transfer the amalgamation to lip balm tins or tubes and place them in the refrigerator.
PEPPERMINT OIL LIP BALM: This refreshing lip balm would make you feel refreshingly cool. All you have to do is to heat one tablespoon of beeswax pellets in a stainless steel pot and add one teaspoon of coconut oil and almond oil to it when it gets melted. You could use a pair of chopsticks to stir the ingredients together and add two to three drops of peppermint essential oil to it. And when the mixture gets cool, you could place the lip balm container in the refrigerator.
