Pickles are one of the most favorite things for Indians and it has been traditionally made in the home for years and years. It would provide the satiated feel at the end of the meal. Without the finger-licking desi pickles, the meal is not even complete for many people. Though there are varieties of luscious pickles, some would provide you health benefits by spiking up your immunity. Try to have it during this pandemic period and ensure to build your immune system. So, here are a few varieties of pickles to taste during the pandemic days.

DATES PICKLE: To taste the dates pickle, you have to take a bowl and soak dates in it for about 15 minutes in the water. Later, remove the seeds from the dates and then strain them. Now, use a pan and keep it on a medium flame and add a few drops of oil in it. Heat the oil and then you could add garlic, ginger, red chili, and salt. As of now, stir the mixture and then add the dates to it and cook for 10 minutes. When cooked, just remove the pan from heat and leave it to cool and your yummy dates pickle is ready to taste. Since dates are known for their outstanding sweet taste, it has been used in different ways in Indian cuisines. It has been enriched with a number of nutrients and thus helps in boosting up your immunity.

AMLA PICKLE: To prepare Amla pickle, you have to prick amla and store them in a container with water and salt for an hour.  Now, take a pan and heat some oil and turn off the stove and then add onion seeds, mustard seeds, fennel seeds, and fenugreek seeds in the oil. Then, wait for a minute and add amla and turmeric and stir fry the ingredients. And now turn on the stove and do the same. Later, add red chili powder and salt and remove the pan from the heat and leave it to cool down. And then, store it in an airtight container for a week. As amla is rich in vitamin C which is an antioxidant, it increases your immunity.

LEMON–GINGER PICKLE: In order to prepare the amazing lemon-ginger pickle, you have to dice ginger and lemon and chop green chili and mix them in a clean jar. Later, add salt, lemon juice, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and carom seeds and mix it well. Now, keep the jar in the sunlight for about 10 days. Howbeit, this pickle helps in enhancing the immunity of the body and also improves digest and promotes metabolism.

HALDI (Turmeric) PICKLE: To prepare excellent Haldi pickle, you have to chop fresh yellow Haldi, fresh orange Haldi, ginger, and lemon in tiny pieces. Store them together in a jar along with black pepper and place it under sunlight for about 10 days. Since turmeric inhabits curcumin which has strong antioxidants, anti-bacterial, anti-microbial, and anti-inflammatory properties, it would be highly beneficial in increasing the immunity of the body. It would also detoxify your body, improves blood circulation, better digestion, and alleviates arthritis pain.
